OPZs batteries, also known as colloidal lead-acid batteries, are a special type of lead-acid battery. Its electrolyte is colloidal, made of a mixture of sulphuric acid and silica gel, which makes it less prone to leakage and offers higher safety and stability.The acronym “OPzS” stands for “Ortsfest” (stationary), “PanZerplatte” (tank plate), and “Geschlossen” (sealed). OPZs batteries are usually used in application scenarios that require high reliability and long life, such as solar energy storage systems, wind power generation systems, UPS uninterruptible power supply systems, and so on.
